A package created using the Export PPM Package application can be imported into any PPM database using the Import PPM Package application, which is also installed automatically with your PPM server. The import process is similar to the export process. During the import process, you can redefine most of the import options which were defined in the export process. However, you cannot add anything new to the package. For example, if users were omitted from the export package, you cannot add them during import since they do not exist in the package.
To use the Import PPM Package application, you need permission to import.
Note: Carefully select which user will perform the import since that user will become the owner of all of the imported objects that have no specified owner.
