This document describes known problems with version 11.3.2 of Oracle Commerce Merchandising. Where applicable, the problem report number is included in parentheses. Please refer to this number if you need to contact Oracle Technical Support for Oracle Commerce products.
(25140665) Drag and Drop functionality for site works only at the row level.
Drag and Drop does not work when trying to add site assets to site groups within the panel, or areas where there are no rows. Drag and Drop only works when dropping site assets to a site group located within a row.
Workaround: Use the Add button to select assets for site groups that are not contained within rows.
(17488178) A promotion may not appear in the Promotions Visibility window when the Preview date is set past the promotion’s end date, even if you reset the Preview date to Now.
Workaround: When testing promotions in future mode, manually clear the shopping cart when you set preview date and time back to Now.
(16274803) A Merchandising user with Store Content access rights (Full or Read Only) does not see Media folders in the Merchandising Browse or Find panels.
Workaround: Merchandising users must have both Media and Store Content access rights.
(16011091) If you choose the Preview Server add-on when configuring your system using CIM, and subsequently launch your server instance without specifying -layer preview, you will be unable to view or edit properties of site assets in Site Administration.
Workaround: Ensure that you use –layer preview if you have configured your system to include a preview server.
(14507830) Coupons are not applied to the shopping cart when testing promotions in Layout view if the logged-in Merchandising user does not have WRITE access to the Coupon item descriptor. Note that testing a Coupon in Layout view automatically adds it to the project.
Workaround: Make sure Merchandising users who test promotions in Layout view have WRITE access to Coupons.
(14458822) When a Merchandising user has full access to price lists but no access to the site catalog, no information appears on the Price Lists tab when that user is working in the price lists application.
Workaround: Make sure users who work with price lists have at least READ access to catalog assets, including products and SKUs.
(13651295) When you are using remote preview (where the preview application and the Business Control Center run on separate servers) to preview assets in any of the Merchandising JSP user interfaces (such as Targeting and Segmentation), old user profile data such as localized languages remains, even after clearing the browser cache.
Workaround: Profile data is stored in a repository cache. To avoid this problem, configure the two servers to share a cross-cluster cache invalidation strategy, such as distributedHybrid caching.
(13316544) If Merchandising users select the Erase option for a property in a Multi Edit operation, assets whose properties were blank to begin with are listed on the Updated tab of the Multi Edit report instead of on the Unchanged tab.
(13320425) The Visual Merchandising pop-up menu may not work properly if product, category, or SKU IDs contain Unicode characters.
Workaround: Use ASCII characters only for asset IDs. Alternately, configure your repository so that these IDs are not primary keys.
(13299049) The Find facility on the Business Control Center does not work as expected on promotions that are configured for Unlimited Maximum uses per customer or “Available to Everyone.”
Such promotions are returned, along with legitimate matches, when the search criteria are: “Whose Maximum uses per customer is less than <2 or greater>“. (This is not expected behavior.)
Such promotions are NOT returned when the Search Criteria are: “Whose Maximum uses per customer is more than <any value greater than 1>.” (This is not expected behavior.)
Workaround: To find promotions that are configured for Unlimited Maximum uses per customer or Available to Everyone, use the Search Criteria “Whose Maximum uses per customer is (exact match) -1” or “Whose Maximum uses per customer is less than [1 or 0].”
(13297596) When resolving conflicts in a multisite environment, the Sites property sometimes appears on the Conflicts tab of the Review Changes dialog box. The Sites property is derived and so cannot be explicitly set by the user; this property should not appear on the Conflicts tab.
Workaround: When resolving a conflict in a multisite environment, always select Merged Version for the Sites property if it appears on the Conflicts tab.
