About Formatting Bars

You can customize the color and size of certain graphic elements. You can set the bar height and color for all bars in the diagram. You can specify that colors fill the entire bar or only the outline of the bar. If you do not customize bar colors or size, the application assigns a default size and color. You can select the bar labels you want to appear in the diagram and their locations relative to each bar. You can choose to have bar labels display for each bar, and you assign each label to a fixed location relative to each bar. The maximum number of fixed locations is fifteen. You can elect to assign a field as a label or re-select an assigned field with another. You can specify the maximum width for labels and you can enter the number of lines to wrap text within a label for plain text fields. For HTML fields, such as Notebook topics, you can set the maximum height and width of the label. If you set the maximum height and width to zero, the label will auto-size to fit all content. You also can customize the font, font style, font color, and font size of the bar labels. You can select Apply to All to make the settings in the Properties palette the same for each label type, for plain text or HTML, in the currently selected bar. You can copy any existing bar and modify the copy to create a new bar.
