Configuring Oracle Database Content Repository in Unifier Configurator

To configure Oracle Database Content Repository in Unifier Configurator:

  1. Go to the Repository tab.
  2. In the File Repository field, select Database.
  3. In the Host Name field, enter the host name of the computer where you installed the database.
  4. In the Instance ID field, enter one of the following values:
    • An Oracle SID
    • An Oracle service name (Oracle Database)

Note: For the full list of system requirements, applications, and application version levels refer to the Unifier Tested Configurations in the Unifier Documentation Library.

When you enter a service name for an Oracle service name (Oracle Database), you must preface the name with a forward slash (/), for example, /servicename.

If you have selected Oracle from the drop-down list and have not prefaced the name with a forward slash (/), the system presumes that you have entered an Oracle SID.

  5. In the Port field, enter the Port number to be used by Unifier to communicate with the database (For example: 1521).
  6. In the User Name field, enter the database login user account name (created in Oracle) to be used by Unifier. The database login user account needs to have sufficient permissions.
  7. In the User Password field, enter the database login user account password to be used by Unifier.

The following explains the remaining fields:

Log File Directory: The folder where the log files are stored.
