The General tab displays the attributes for the selected activity in groups:
- WBS Attributes
- Activity Attributes (General)
- Activity Attributes (Schedule)
- Activity Attributes (Units)
- Activity Attributes (Cost)
- Activity Attributes (Earned Value)

By default, the General tab details will be in the dock, at the bottom the activity log. You can see the General tab by selecting the Activity ID column and using the split pane icon (the three horizontal dots). The General tab will be seen for the activities that are created without attribute form defined, and it will show the standard data elements (starting with uuu_P6). The order and behavior of data elements are based on the design, except for the uuu_P6 element which has a default behavior in the attribute form.
Use the General tab to view the activity details of the new activities created, or updated.
The WBS Picker and CBS Code, when added to the activity attribute form, are shown as columns. You can select the WBS codes and CBS codes that can be assigned to the activities.
When you edit the activity attribute in the General tab, the Cancel and Save options will be made available. You must save the edited data in order to move to the sheet. Edited data will not be save, if you do not save the edited content, in the General tab.
You can switch between tabs before saving the information across the tabs.
Actual Dates
- An activity progress <uuu_P6PercentComplete> will be editable once the <uuu_P6ActualStart> has been entered, or the <uuu_P6ActivityStatus> has changed to 'In Progress'. If <uuu_P6ActualStart> has been entered, then the uuu_P6ActivityStatus will be changed from 'Not Started' to 'In Progress' and vice versa, automatically.
- When <uuu_P6ActivityStatus> has changed from ' In Progress' to 'Completed' the <uuu_P6ActualFinish> will be populated with current date and vice versa.
- When <uuu_P6ActivityStatus> has changed from ' Not Started' to 'Completed' the <uuu_P6ActualStart> and <uuu_P6ActualFinish> will be populated with current date.
- Actual Start Date <uuu_P6ActualStart> cannot be entered in future date (cannot be different from the current date).
- Actual Finish Date <uuu_P6ActualFinish> cannot be entered in future date (cannot be different from the current date).
