To enable Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI Service

• Set the below System preference.

  Name	Value
  EnableOCIAIGenAI	N (to be changed to 'Y' to activate feature)

• By default, it is disabled.

• Generative AI use cases that are not required can be disabled .

• Create seed data as required for different use-cases (using the database setup wizard or through manual configuration).

• Select a model and configure parameters for prompts.

• OCI Generative AI provides a set of pre-trained models. You can create new custom models or create new versions of existing custom models with your own dataset.

Generative AI Service can be consumed through:

• On-demand (access pretrained LLMs and embedding models).

• Dedicated AI clusters (deploy pretrained LLMs or fine-tuned custom models exclusive to your tenancy).
