Approval States

The approval state of a document is the stage at which it is in the approval process:

• Draft – the document is still in progress and has not yet been submitted for approval
• Pending approval – the document has been submitted for approval
• Approved – the document has been reviewed and approved for distribution
• Rejected – the document has been reviewed but was rejected; it is returned to the Draft to make the necessary corrections and to resubmit for an additional review
• Pending distribution – the document has been approved and is awaiting distribution
• Distributed – the document has been completed, approved and distributed
