OPERA Cloud requires a reason to be selected for every reservation cancellation. These cancellation reasons are used for individual reservations and are not displayed for block cancellations. See Configuring Block Cancellation Reasons.
Cancellation reasons is a global configuration shared by all properties when the OPERA Cloud Multi-Property Reservation Cloud Service is active.
Adding a Reservation Cancellation Reason
From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.
Click New and enter the following details:
Code. Enter a code for the cancel reason
Description. Enter a description for the cancel reason
Manage Translation. Click to open the multi-language screen and configure a translated description for each language
Display Seq. Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes not assigned a sequence number are listed in alphabetical order following codes with an assigned sequence.
Click Save.
Editing a Reservation Cancellation Reason
From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
In the search results, select the code, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.
Update the configuration.
Click Save.
Deleting a Reservation Cancellation Reason
From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
In the search results, select the code, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.
Select Delete to confirm.
