Primavera Gateway is a middleware application that facilitates integration of data between Primavera applications and other enterprise applications. For a quick synopsis, watch the Overview of Primavera Gateway video.
The following data can be shared between Oracle Primavera Cloud and P6 EPPM:
- Project details related to budget, costs, schedule, and scope
- Perform quantitative risk analysis in Primavera Cloud and send the data to P6 EPPM
- Import roles and resources from P6 EPPM to Primavera Cloud
All data within Gateway is classified into two categories: master data and project data.
Master Data
Master data is data that influences all subsequent data transfers between the source and destination applications. A destination application may need to be equipped with this data from the source application before sending or receiving data.
A synchronization is a job that is executed to transfer data from a source application to a destination application. Gateway transfers data between two applications using synchronizations. A job that transfers master data between applications is called a master data synchronization.
Project Data
Project data refers to data that is sent from a project within the source application, used in Gateway, and received in the destination application. These data elements don't necessarily constitute the building blocks for setting up all data transfers between applications.
A synchronization is a job that is executed to transfer data from a source application to a destination application. Gateway transfers data between two applications using synchronizations. A job that transfers project data between applications is called a project data synchronization.
A few master data and project data synchronizations have been delivered in Primavera Gateway to help you get started with transferring data immediately.
This Synchronization Setup Guide describes how to:
- Run and monitor the delivered synchronizations
- Add new synchronizations
- Edit, copy, schedule, and delete synchronizations
Primavera Gateway users and administrators responsible for scheduling, running, and monitoring synchronizations should use this guide.
Within our documentation, some content might be specific for cloud deployments while other content is relevant for on-premises deployments. Any content that applies to only one of these deployments is labeled accordingly.
