To ensure proposed budget values are transferred correctly to P6 EPPM, you will add a new Proposed Budget field to the Project business object in the P6 data dictionary and the field mapping template in Gateway as follows:
- Sign in to Gateway as an administrator or user.
- Add the Proposed Budget field to the P6 EPPM data dictionary as follows:
- In the sidebar, select Data Dictionary, and then select P6.
- Select the Project business object, and then select Edit....
- In the General step of the Edit Object and Fields wizard, select Next.
- In the Fields step:
- In the Field Name column, select ProposedBudget and then select Edit.
- In the Confirmation dialog box, select Confirm.
- In the Field Name in P6 field, enter Proposed Budget and then select Update.
- Note: Ensure you include a space between the words, "Proposed" and "Budget".
- Select Save and exit the wizard.
- Confirm the mapping for the Proposed Budget field exists in the underlying field mapping template as follows:
- In the sidebar, select Configuration, and then select the Customization tab.
- From the Field Mapping Templates list, select Project.
- In the Field Mapping Name column, select Synchronize Proposed Budget & Plan Dates from Primavera Cloud, and then select Edit....
- In the General step of the Edit Template wizard, select Next.
- In the Criteria step, select ProposedBudget (Double) from the Primavera Cloud: Project, Gateway:Project, and P6:Project lists.
- Select Save and exit the wizard.
- Note: If the ProposedBudget (Double) field does not exist in the template, repeat Step 3, and select Add... to add this field to the mapping template.
