If the function fails to run due to lack of appropriate permissions, the function returns null which appears as a dash (-) appears in the cell on which the function is run.
In the Cell Properties dialog box, the Update tab displays a 
Calculation Failure icon and an explanation of the source of the failure. The calculation failure tab icon (x) on one of the Cell Properties dialog box tabs indicates on what tab the problem can be solved.
