View Active Schedules

Purpose: Use the View Active Schedules screen to:

         Review jobs that are currently scheduled to run. Only jobs whose Schedule Enabled flag is selected at the Schedule Jobs screen are displayed here.

         Start or reschedule all scheduled jobs and other scheduled programs such as imports, exports, report generation, and order polling for Store Connect. You might use the Reschedule All option to resolve an issue with scheduled jobs and programs. You also use this option at initial Order Broker configuration to start all jobs and tasks, or after applying an upgrade.

How to display this screen: Select View Active Schedules from the Systems Menu. The landing page does not have a shortcut to this screen.

search for a scheduled job

For most jobs, you can elect a scheduled job and click Search to display the selected job.

Sales order data extract: Unlike the other scheduled jobs, the sales order data extract is scheduled for a particular Organization rather than across all organizations. To support this difference:

         The Organization defaults from the organization associated with the Default Shipping System from your user profile, and,

         The scheduled Sales Order Data Extract job is listed in the results only if it is scheduled in the currently displayed organization.

Optionally, select a different organization to display the sales order data extract job for that organization, or clear the organization field to display all scheduled sales data extract jobs across all organizations.

Highlight a scheduled job to open the Browse Active Schedules window. This window displays the schedule interval and the related time or minutes for the scheduled job.

Click Search.

Click the history icon (history_icon.png) in the History column for an organization to advance to the View Sales Order Data Extract Job History.

reschedule all

Select Reschedule All to stop and restart all scheduled jobs and programs. You might use this option:

         When you first configure Order Broker and need to enable all jobs and programs to run as scheduled.

         After an upgrade is applied to Order Broker.

         To correct an issue with scheduled jobs and programs if, for example, the server shuts down unexpectedly and these jobs and programs are not running as scheduled.

Only users with Reschedule All authority have this option.

Which jobs and programs? This option schedules, or stops and reschedules:

         Product and location imports, configured through the System Import Schedule screen.

         Incremental Inventory Import.

         Fulfilled Inventory Export.

         Probable quantity export (Updating and Exporting Probable Quantity).

         Scheduled reports (Schedule Reports).

         Daily Cleanup, Email Notifications, Completed Order Private Data Purge, Sales Order Data Extract, and Auto Cancel Unclaimed Pickup Orders (see Job Name, below).

         Polling of orders for Store Connect (see New Order Polling Schedule tab (Schedule)).

         In Process cleanup job (see Acknowledge Order Before Brokering for background)

Description

Search/new fields:

Job Name

The job that is currently scheduled. Optionally, select a listed job and select Search to display the schedule information for that job. Jobs that can be scheduled and displayed here are:

Auto Cancel Unclaimed Pickup Orders: Cancels unclaimed pickup or ship-for-pickup orders based on the settings of the Auto Cancel Days of Unclaimed Pickup Orders and Auto Cancel Days of Unclaimed Ship For Pickup Orders at the Preferences screen. This job runs daily at a specified time. See Auto-Cancel Unclaimed Orders for a discussion.

Daily Clean Up: Clears outdated information on a daily basis. See the daily cleanup job for details. This job runs daily at a specified time.

Sales Order Data Extract: Creates export files containing data related to orders with any activity within a specified date range. See Sales Order Data Extract for a discussion.

Completed Order Private Data Purge: Anonymizes customer data on sales orders that closed (fulfilled, canceled, unfulfillable, completed) and purchase orders that have been closed (shipped, complete, or canceled) and that are older than a specified number of days. See Completed Order Private Data Purge for a discussion.

Email Notifications: Generates email notifications to store locations, vendors, customers, retailers, or systems operations staff based on the unprocessed records that are currently in the EMAIL_NOTIFICATION table. This job runs at the specified minute interval: for example, generate email notifications every 5 minutes.

Jobs that are not flagged as enabled at the Schedule Jobs screen are not listed in the results here.

Organization

See organization. Defaults from the organization associated with the Default Shipping System from your user profile, but you can override this default.

Filtering displayed jobs based on organization takes place only for the Sales Order Data Extract job. The other scheduled jobs are not associated with a particular organization.

Results fields:

Job Name

The job that is currently scheduled. Optionally, select a listed job and select Search to display the schedule information for that job. Jobs that can be scheduled and displayed here are:

Organization

The organization code and name is displayed only for the Sales Order Data Extract job. See organization for background.

Last Updated

The last date and time when the schedule was updated for the job, and the ID of the user who performed the update.

Last Run

The last date and time when the job ran.

Next Run

The next date and time when the job is scheduled to run.

History

Click the history icon (history_icon.png) for an organization to advance to the View Sales Order Data Extract Job History. The history option is not available for any other scheduled jobs.

When is history available? This option is available only:

         For the Sales Order Data Extract job,

         If the job has been run at least once,

         If the history has not been purged, based on the number of days specified in the Extract Log History setting at the Tenant - Admin screen; also,

         The job is listed at the View Active Schedules screen for an organization only if it is currently scheduled, based on the Schedule Enabled flag at the Schedule Jobs screen.
