Oracle Big Data Applianceは、ビッグ・データの取得、編成および分析用に最適化されたエンジニアド・システムです。最適化されたハードウェア・コンポーネントと新しいソフトウェア・ソリューション組み合せることで、すべて完備されたビッグ・データ・ソリューションを実現しています。

この章では、Oracle Big Data Applianceにインストールされるソフトウェアのライセンスと技術サポートについて説明します。内容は次のとおりです。

1.1 Big Data Applianceソフトウェア・インストール

Oracle Big Data Applianceソフトウェアのインストールは2段階で行われます。

1.1.1 工場出荷時インストール済イメージ

Oracle Linuxオペレーティング・システムと各種構成ユーティリティは、Oracle Big Data Applianceサーバーに工場出荷時インストール済です。これらを使用するライセンスは、アプライアンスの購入に含まれています。

1.1.2 オンサイト・ソフトウェア・インストール

Oracleカスタマ・サービス担当者は、Oracle Big Data Appliance用のすべてのアプリケーション・ソフトウェアをダウンロードします。このソフトウェアの中には、Oracle Big Data Applianceのライセンス契約に含まれているものもあれば、別途ライセンスが必要なものもあります。

Oracle Big Data Appliance構成生成ユーティリティを完了する際、ライセンスが別途必要なオプション・ソフトウェア・コンポーネントをインストールするかどうかを指定する必要があります。

1.2 ソフトウェア・ライセンス

この項には、インストールされるソフトウェアでOracle Big Data Applianceライセンスにより使用が許可されるソフトウェアが一覧されています。また、Oracle Big Data Applianceソフトウェアのデプロイメント・バンドルに含まれているものの、個別にライセンス供与されるOracleソフトウェアも記載されています。

1.2.1 含まれているソフトウェア

次の表に、Oracle Big Data Applianceの購入に含まれている統合ソフトウェアのライセンスとサポートについて要約します。ライセンスは、Oracle Big Data Applianceでのソフトウェアの使用のみを対象としています。このソフトウェアを他のシステムに移動したりコピーすることはできません。

1.2.2.1 Oracle Big Data SQLライセンス

Oracle Big Data SQLのライセンスは、その他のOracle製品のライセンスとは別になります。

Oracle Big Data SQLのライセンスを購入する場合は、次の点に注意してください。

Hadoopクラスタごとに別のライセンスを購入する必要があります。
Hadoopクラスタ内のすべてのデータ・ノードにライセンスが供与される必要があります。ノード内に部分的なライセンスを供与することはできません。
Oracle Big Data SQLでアクセスされるすべてのディスク(Hadoopクラスタ内外を問わず)にライセンスが供与される必要があります。Oracle Big Data SQLがKafkaストアまたはNoSQLストアにアクセスする場合、それらのソースで使用されるディスクも含まれます。
Oracle Databaseサーバー側には追加ライセンスは不要です。
Oracle Copy to Hadoopライセンスが含まれます。
WebLogic ServerはOracle Big Data SQLに含まれます。追加ライセンスは不要です。
