Creating a Data Set From a Subject Area to Use with Explain
Explain isn't available for subject areas. However, you can create a dataset from a local subject and then use Explain to analyze the columns in the dataset.
- On the Home page, click Create, and then click Dataset.
- In the Create Dataset dialog, select Local Subject Area.
- Optional: Choose Select Columns to view, browse, and search the available subject areas and columns. Select a column and click Add Selected to add it to the dataset.
- Optional: Alternatively, choose Enter Logical SQL to write a query or to modify the query for the columns you selected in the Select Columns area.
- Optional: Select Click here to add a filter and specify column filter criteria.
- Click Add to save the dataset and go to the Transform editor to transform and enrich the dataset's data.
- Optional: Click Create Workbook to create a workbook with the dataset, and then use Explain.
