Creating Reporting Users in Oracle Analytics Server for P6 EPPM

Create a reporting user in Oracle Analytics Server that matches an equivalent user in P6, for every user who will use the reporting feature, to ensure you have users who can run reports in both applications.

To create reporting users in Oracle Analytics Server for P6 EPPM:

  1. Log in to the WebLogic Administration Console.
  2. In the Domain Structure pane, select Security Realms.
  3. In the Summary of Security Realms pane, select myrealm.
  4. Select the Users and Groups tab.
  5. Select the Users sub-tab.
  6. Click New.
  7. In the Create a New User screen:
    1. On the Name field, type a name for the user.
    2. In the Password field, type a password for the user.
    3. In the Confirm Password field, re-type the password for the user.
    4. Click OK.

      Notes:

      • If using LDAP, complete these steps by configuring an LDAP provider.
      • The password for the user does not have to match the user's P6 password.
  8. Select the newly created user.
  9. In the Settings for User screen, select the Groups tab.
  10. In the Parent Groups section, on the Available list, select BIConsumers, BIContentAuthors and BIServiceAdministrators, then click Move selected items from the Available list to the Chosen list.
  11. Click Save.
