Editing a Gateway Provider Object in Data Dictionary - Example

In this example, the Role object in the Gateway provider data dictionary is edited to update the Role object description and include a new Responsibilities field.

1. Select Data Dictionary, and then select Gateway.
2. Highlight the the Role object row, and then select Edit...
3. In the General step of the Object and Fields wizard:
   1. In the Description field, update the description of the object.
   2. Select Next.
4. In the Fields step, add a new field as follows:
   1. In the Field Name field, enter Responsibilities.
   2. In the Field Type field, select String.
   3. In the Description field, enter: The responsibilities for the role.
   4. Select Add... to add the Responsibilities field to the field table.
5. In the Flow Control step, select Next.
6. In the Cross Reference step, select Next.
7. In the Summary step, review all selections made in the wizard and then select Save.

Tips

• When editing an object, you can select Save in any step to exit the wizard. The Save button is enabled only after you make a change.
