An External Provider is a provider application that resides outside the Primavera Gateway framework. It is similar to any provider application supported in Gateway such as P6 or Unifier.
This example demonstrates how to send Role data to P6 from an external provider which supports a new ERP application.
Prerequisites
- An External Provider, ERP Provider, has been created using Customization SDK.
- The ERP Provider data dictionary, field mapping templates, and business flows is available in the Gateway user interface.
- An ERP Provider deployment has been added.
- A field mapping template, Send ERP Roles to P6, for the Role object in the ERP provider has been added.
- A master data business flow, Send ERP Roles to P6, has been added.
Procedure
To send ERP Provider role data to P6:
- In the sidebar, select Synchronizations.
- Select Add....
The Synchronization wizard displays.
- In the Flow & Deployments step:
- Enter Send ERP Roles to P6 in the Synchronization Name field.
- Select Send ERP Roles to P6 from the Business Flow list.
- Enter a description of the synchronization in the Description field.
- Select ERP Provider from the Source list.
- Select P6 Provider from the Destination list.
- Select Next.
- In the Parameters step, select Next:
Note: The parameter value selected in the synchronization is unaffected although you may change the parameter’s default value when editing the business flow.
- In the Summary step, review all the selections made and select Save.
- In the Synchronization Name column, select Send ERP Roles to P6 and then select Run.
- Monitor the synchronization from the Monitoring page.
