Auto-Populating Record Due Date on BP Workflow Auto-Creation
To ensure auto-created destination BP workflow records display a record due date at run-time, you can define either the Duration Element or Due Date Element during auto-creation setup. This applies to source business process (BP) workflow records that have a BP Creator Element to auto-create another BP record.
Except for S-step, the auto-created destination BP records (from source BP record) can be either:
- Record to Record or
- Line-item to Record
The Due Date Element field displays those date picker elements that have been specified in the upper forms or detail forms.
Depending on the entries made in the uDesigner forms, Auto-creation Setup, Unifier Admin, and the source record in user mode, the Due Date field in the auto-created destination BP will be populated as follows, only if the Due Date Element and BP Creator element have been selected in the same form:
- If the Record Due Date Element or Duration Element is not specified in the auto-creation setup, and the Duration field is not setup in the Admin mode or selected in the user mode, then the due date has to be entered manually in the auto-created BP record.
- If the Record Due Date Element or Duration Element is not specified in the auto-creation setup, however, Duration is defined in the Admin mode, but it is not selected in, the source record, then the due date is calculated and displayed based on the duration days.
- If the Due Date Element is specified in the auto-creation setup, the Duration is defined in the Admin mode, and the source record has a date element, then the auto-created BP displays the source record's Due Date Element.
- If the Due Date Element is specified in the auto-creation setup, the Duration is defined in the Admin mode, but the Date Element is not specified in the source record, then the due date is calculated and displayed based on the specified duration.
- If the Duration Element is specified in the auto-creation setup but Duration is not defined in the Admin mode, and the Duration Element is not populated in the source record, then the due date is calculated and displayed using the destination record's Duration Element.
