Creating a WebLogic Domain on a Remote or Local Server
Create a WebLogic domain on a remote or local server to define how the server and domain interact.
To create a WebLogic domain:
- Start the Weblogic Configuration Wizard on the local or remote server.
- In the Welcome window, select Create a new WebLogic domain and click Next.
- In the Select Domain Source window, click Next to accept the default selections.
- In the Specify Domain Name and Location window:
- Enter the domain name. If you are creating a domain on both a local and remote server, give the domains a different name.
- Select the domain location.
- Click Next.
- In the Configure Administrator User name and Password window, enter the user name and password information and click Next.
Note: Make a note of the name and password, you will need this information for the JNDI Properties Credential fields and the JNDI Properties box in the Creating a Foreign JMS Server topic.
- In the Configure Server Start Mode and JDK window:
- Select Production Mode in the left pane.
- Select an appropriate JDK in the right pane.
- Click Next.
- In the Select Optional Configuration window, click Next.
- In the Configuration Summary window, click Create.
- In the Creating Domain window, select Start Admin Server and click Done.
