Configuring Client Properties Settings

You can use the client properties to configure settings controlling how P6 communicates with the application server.

To set your log settings:

  1. Open the Primavera P6 Administrator.
  2. In the Configurations drop-down list, select your configuration.
  3. In the sidebar select Client Properties.
  4. Select Compress HTTP Content to improve download time over WAN networks, or clear the option if download time is not an issue for you, but freeing up server CPU availability is important.
  5. Optionally, in the HTTP Server And Port Override field, enter the HTTP front-end server and port to which P6 will connect.

Notes:The HTTP Server And Port Override is only required if navigation links in P6 are using an incorrect protocol, host, or port.

  6. In the Ajax Request Wait Timeout section, specify how long the server should wait for Business Process Management workflows and Action Required tabs to respond.
