Installing Configuration Packages (On Premises Only)
Unifier lets you install the Facilities and Asset Management (FAM) configuration package if you have access to the feature. For more information, see Importing Configuration Packages.
- For the Development environment: You have the option to install FAM. The uDesigner is empty, which lets you create your own designs. In the Development environment, you need to create configuration packages, and set them as published before you can use them (transferring, designing, configuring, and setting up) in the Production environment.
Note: Oracle recommends that you follow this workflow: Development > Test and Development > Production.
- For the Test environment: You have the option to install FAM. The uDesigner is empty, which lets you create your own designs. In the Test environment, you need to create configuration packages, and set them as published before you can use them (transferring, designing, configuring, and setting up) in the Production environment.
- For the Production environment: You can install FAM by using a configuration package.
