Highlights

Australian Finance Group (AFG) began as an aggregator, a company which provides mortgage brokers with access to products and support in Perth, Western Australia. The Company has diversified beyond mortgage aggregation and offers business finance, insurance products, and AFG-branded and securitized products throughout Australia.

AFG's on-premises Siebel CRM application supported the company's all-important broker network. During 10 years of using the software, AFG had customized the applications extensively, and it determined that the same functionality wasn't available in SaaS alternatives at that time.

Instead they chose to migrate their Siebel CRM application to IaaS, scaling automatically to match the ebb and flow of demand. At night, the system ran on just a handful of virtual servers, minimizing operational cost.

The case study is a great example of a company that's taking advantage of multiple cloud layers, including SaaS and PaaS together. They transformed their IT with multiple cloud layers and refocused staff leading to more innovation. AFG moved their Oracle Financials Cloud, Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation Cloud Service and the Siebel CRM application into the Cloud.

By using Cloud technologies, AFG were able to cut costs and refactor their IT budget into other projects and innovations.
