TML implemented Siebel Dealer Management System (DMS) over two decades ago and delivered on its promise of increasing sales and profitability, better dealer collaboration, efficient capacity, spare parts management and strong customer feedback mechanism. TML improved dealer relationships and operational efficiency. The Siebel CRM implementation has truly contributed to the success of Tata Motors.
As TML grew, TML was eying capturing the EV market; to leverage new business models through its connected cars program and adopting new ways of digital channel management. The size and complexity of their Siebel CRM deployment was slowing them down on this path of change. One thing was evident, they needed to modernize the Siebel Dealer Management System. The current on-premise DMS is hosted on the Siebel CRM 22.x version and runs on the Oracle Database on IBM P-Series AIX Servers. The system is an extreme scale CRM implementation with 35 TB of data, serving 6,000 TML dealerships.
