Taking a Snapshot of a Lease

Use the lease snapshot feature to create a historical picture of the lease that you can preserve before the lease is amended or otherwise modified. The snapshot can be created automatically when the Lease BP reaches a certain status, or you can create it manually whenever necessary.

To take a snapshot of a lease:

  1. Go to the shell tab, and switch to User mode.
  2. In the left Navigator, select Logs, and then select the applicable sub-node, such as Leases.
  3. From the Leases log, open the applicable Lease BP record in Edit mode.
  4. From the More Actions menu, select Create Snapshot.
  5. In the Create Snapshot window:
    1. Enter a Title for the snapshot.
    2. (Optional) Enter a Description for the snapshot.
    3. Select Create.
  6. In the notification message confirming the snapshot has been successfully created, select OK.
