Creating a Contact List
If you have Full Access permission, you can create a contact list by manually entering information or by copying an existing list from another project or shell. If a list has not been created yet, the page displays a message indicating that you can create your first contact list.
To create a contact list manually:
- Go to the shell tab, and switch to User mode.
- In the left Navigator, select Contact Lists.
The Contact Lists page appears.
- Choose one of the following:
- To create your first contact list, select Create, and select Create.
- To create an additional contact list, select
Add.
- In the Name field on the Create Contact Lists drawer, enter a name, up to 64 characters, for your new list.
The name must be unique within the project or shell.
- (Optional) In the Emails field, enter a list of email addresses separated using a semicolon (;).
You do not have to enter the email addresses now. You can enter up to 50 email addresses, but the character count cannot exceed 4000.
- (Optional) In the Description field, enter additional information, up to 250 characters.
- In the Language, Date and Time and Number and Currency sections, update the applicable information if you do not want the system to your preferred default settings.
- Select Create.
To create a contact list by copying an existing list:
- Go to the shell tab, and switch to User mode.
- In the left Navigator, select Contact Lists.
- Choose one of the following:
- To create your first contact list, select Create, and select Copy From.
- To create an additional contact list, select Copy From.
- In the From Project list on the Copy Contact Lists drawer, select an existing project or shell to which you have access.
- In the Select Contact List, select the name of the list that you want to copy.
- Select Copy.
- If the copy process determines that duplicate entries might be created in the target, select Ignore to cancel the copy process, select Replace Existing to overwrite the entry in the target, or select Create Duplicates to create a second entry.
