Data Elements: Select Data Elements for the Data Source
In the Data Elements step of the Data Source Creation guided process, you can finalize the list of data elements being included in this data source.
You can:
- Add Data Elements From Other Data Sources
- Remove current data elements (see below)
- Rename labels of data elements (see below)
To remove or rename current data elements:
- In the Search bar, enter any of the following information to look up a data element:
- Name: Enter the name of the data element. For example, enter uuu_creation_date.
- Label: Enter the display label used for the data element in Unifier. For example, enter Creation Date.
- Type: Enter the data type of the data element. For example, enter Integer, String.
- In the displayed Search Results, select the check box for a data element and then select any of the following actions:
- Edit (
): Click to rename the label of a data element. All data elements must have unique labels in a data source. Rename any duplicate labels for data elements.
- Remove to remove selected data elements from the data source.
- Edit (
- From the Save menu, select any of the following options:
- Save: Click to save the entered information.
- Save and Close: Click to return to the Data Sources log.
- Properties: Click to revert to the previous step.
- Click Continue to proceed to the next task, Calculated Elements: (Optional) Include Calculated Elements in the Data Source.
Notes:
- You can click Cancel in any step of the guided process to discontinue and return to the Data Sources log.
- It is recommended to click Save in each step to avoid losing any unsaved information or selections made in that step.
