Add Users and Groups For Specific Visualizations

Project/Shell Administrators can add users and groups to a project/shell from the Permissions page.

You must be the owner of the visualization or have the Manage permission enabled for visualizations in the project/shell to perform this task.

To add project/shell-level users and groups for specific visualizations:

  1. Sign in to Unifier with shell administration credentials.
  2. Click the specific project/shell tab and switch to Admin mode. For example, click a tab called Vision Corporation.
  3. In the left Navigator, select Setup, and then select Visualizations.
  4. In the Visualizations log (right pane), from the Action () menu, select Permissions for a visualization.
  5. In the Permissions page, click Add User or Group.
  6. In the Add users and groups drawer:
    1. Click the Users tab or Groups tab to view a corresponding list of users and groups that can be added to this project/shell.

Alternatively, in the Search bar, you can type a search text and press Enter on your keyboard to locate users and groups that meet your search criteria.

    2. (Groups only) Click Member Details (>) to view the members in a group or click Sort By to alphabetically sort the groups by Name or Description.
    3. Select one or more users or groups by selecting the check box adjacent to the Name field of each user and group.

To select all users and groups, click the check box for the total user or group count. For example, select the check box for 35 items.

    4. Select any of the following buttons:
      • Click Add to add the selected users and groups with access to visualizations in the project/shell.
      • Click Cancel to discontinue adding users and groups in the project/shell and return to the Permissions page.
  7. In the Permissions page, select the following permissions for each user and group:
    • Manage Content: Select this permission to include additional visualization administrators in a project/shell. By default, they also get Modify and View permissions.
    • Modify: Select this permission to add users and groups who can edit visualizations created in a project/shell. By default, they also get the View permission.
    • View (Default): Select this permission to add users and groups who can only view visualizations in a project/shell.

Alternatively, you can set permissions for users and groups from the Bulk Actions menu. For more information, see Use Bulk Actions to Manage Permissions of Users and Groups For Specific Visualizations.

  8. Click Save to add the selected users to the project/shell and return to the Visualizations log.
