Overview of Integration

Oracle Unity is a cloud-based offering that combines customer data from online, offline, and third-party sources to create a single, dynamic, real-time view of each customer. The integration between Siebel CRM and Oracle Unity supports the transfer of Siebel CRM data to Oracle Unity, including both the initial bulk loading and subsequent incremental loading.

This integration can help you reduce the effort of integrating the two applications, for bulk and incremental data synchronization. A new screen, Administration - Data Export, provides views that support administrator activities for this integration. You can also leverage features of this integration for other data extraction use cases, for both bulk and incremental loading.

The Siebel CRM integration with Oracle Unity functions as follows:

• Using the Search Data Exporter and Search Data Processor components to identify the objects to export, data is exported from Siebel CRM (in initial bulk loads or in subsequent incremental loads) into a CSV file.

• The CSV file is pushed to Oracle Object Storage (OOS) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Oracle Unity reads this CSV file to import Siebel CRM data into the applicable schema, according to your configured mapping of tables and columns or fields.
