Installation and Deployment

Siebel installation using installation and setup wizard

1. Generate Java Keystore file.

2. Initiate the installation wizard.

3. Install Siebel enterprise components and application container components along with database utilities.

4. Follow the installation wizard and pick the respective ports for Siebel containers and provide a valid Java KeyStore.

Siebel Gateway and Enterprise deployment using SMC

1. Login to SMC console.

2. Register the gateway with required ports.

3. Deploy Siebel Enterprise.

4. Deploy Siebel Server (temporary). This will create the required ODBC source

5. After successful deployment of Siebel Server, delete the Siebel Server deployment for time being.

Upgrade Factory deployment

1. Prepare the environment by creating all the required directories for the input.

2. Place the custom files, web templates and ancestor repository files . in their respective directories on the server.
