Siebel Loyalty Batch Engine Parameters
The batch engine processes the following objects:
Transactions, such as accruals and enrollments.
Buckets, used in bucket promotions
Tiers
Statements
For each of these objects, you can set batch engine parameters to control which subset of records the batch engine processes. Parameters are conditional statements, and only records that match the condition are processed. Parameters apply to all programs.
Batch engine parameters are useful to:
Do load balancing so the engine is not overloaded with too many records to process at one time.
Process subsets of records. You might want to do this because:
Some records have higher priority and must be processed first.
Some records were processed and others were not during a failure, and you only want to process the records that were not processed previously.
A change in your program only affects some records.
