Setting Up Format in Snapshot Files for Appeal Cases

When users create an appeal case, a snapshot file is automatically created in the Attachments view for the evidence record of that case. This snapshot file contains the field values for the original case, for the active benefit plans that are associated with that case, and for the benefits that are associated with those benefit plans.

Note: It is recommended that you make sure that BIP reports function correctly in your environment before you set up a BIP format for the snapshot file.

If Oracle Business Intelligence is not integrated with Siebel Public Sector, then administrators can set up an XML format for this snapshot file.

To set up the format in snapshot files for appeal cases

  1. Navigate to the Administration - Application screen, then the System Preferences view.

  2. Select the record with the PUB Appeal Case Snapshot Type system preference name.

  3. Change the System Preference Value field as follows:

    • To set up an XML format in snapshot files, enter XML.

      The default value for this field is XML.

    • To set up a BIP format in snapshot files, enter BIP.

  4. To implement your change, restart the Siebel Server.
