8.2 Deprecated Features in 3.4.6

The following previously deprecated Oracle VM features will be removed from a future release of this software:

  • Oracle VM SOAP API : The Oracle VM SOAP API is deprecated.

  • Oracle VM Utilities scripts: A number of the Oracle VM Utilities scripts are deprecated by the Oracle VM Manager Command Line Interface. For more information, see Using the Oracle VM Utilities in the Oracle VM Administrator's Guide

  • Virtual IP address (VIP) : The field to specify a virtual IP address (VIP) while creating a server pool is deprecated but is still available for backwards compatibility.

  • YAML formatted configuration file : The function to install Oracle VM Manager silently using a predefined YAML formatted configuration file is deprecated for customer use and is only intended for internal use during testing at Oracle.

  • HugePages support: The HugePages feature is deprecated. You should not enable HugePages when creating or editing virtual machines with a domain type of PVM in the Oracle VM Manager Web Interface or Oracle VM Manager Command Line Interface.

  • Assembly terminology: The use of the term Assembly to refer to Oracle VM Virtual Appliances is deprecated.
