At a high level, creating a transformation script and running it against your project data set involves the following steps:
- Create a transformation script using transforms and optionally custom transform functions.
- Use preview to debug your transformation and view its effects on your data.
- Save the transformation to your transformation script.
- Edit your transformation script by rearranging, modifying, and deleting individual transformations.
- Run your script against the project data set. This updates your copy of the project data set (it is a sample of the source Hive table), and makes it available in Discover area of Studio.
