28 WebLogic Server Resource Managers

This chapter describes the tasks you can perform to create, monitor, and configure resource managers.

Note:

If you are logged into a domain partition, navigate from the Domain Partition menu.

This chapter includes the following sections:

Create resource managers

To create a resource manager:

  1. From the WebLogic Domain menu, select Environment, then select Resource Consumption Managers.

    The Resource Managers table displays information about the resource managers that have been configured in the current domain.

  2. Click Add Resource Manager.
  3. Specify a name and define a policy and trigger limits for the resource manager.

    For more information, see Configuration Options.

  4. Click OK.

Monitor resource managers

To monitor the resource managers configured in the domain:

  1. From the WebLogic Domain menu, select Environment, then select Resource Consumption Managers.

    The Resource Managers table displays information about the resource managers that have been configured in the current domain, such as:

    • Resource Manager

    • Policy Type

    • Fair Share

    • Trigger Limits

    For more information about these fields, see Configuration Options.

    Optionally, select View to access the following table options:

    • Columns: add or remove the columns displayed in the table

    • Detach: detach the table (viewing option)

    • Expand or Collapse All

    • Scroll to First or Scroll to Last

    • Reorder Columns: change the order of the columns displayed

  2. To add a new resource manager, click Add Resource Manager. See Create resource managers.
  3. To add a new policy to a resource manager, select the resource manager and click Add Policy.
  4. To edit an existing policy, select the policy in the table and click the Edit icon above the table.
