Synchronizing subscription status
Important: The Oracle Eloqua WeChat app has been removed from the Oracle Cloud Marketplace and is no longer available for download. For customers with the app enabled, the app will remain active in its current form until December 1, 2022, after which the app will be sunset and no longer be available for use.
You can keep the subscription status of your WeChat followers up to date by using the WeChat contact information synchronizer action service in a campaign. This is useful if followers have a blank WeChat subscription status field because they have not yet canceled or re-followed one of your WeChat official accounts.
Before you activate your campaign, check the subscription status of some of your followers' contacts in Oracle Eloqua:
To synchronize your WeChat followers' subscription status:
- Open an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Drag the WeChat Contact Information Synchronizer element from the Actions section onto the canvas.
- Double-click the element and open the configuration window for the WeChat Contact information synchronizer.
- Select Update Contacts Subscription Status and specify the WeChat official account for which you want to update followers' status.
- Click Submit and then click Save.

When contacts flow through the action element, they are synchronized to update the WeChat subscription status field with one of these values:
- FOLLOW: The contact is an active follower subscribed to the specified WeChat official account.
- UNFOLLOW: The contact has canceled their subscription on the specified WeChat official account.
