Task 3: Purchase Offer

Learn how to purchase Oracle Database@Azure in the Azure Marketplace.

Oracle has two options for purchasing Oracle Database@Azure, Pay as You Go and Private Offer. See Purchase Oracle Database@Azure for an overview of these two offer types. You only need to use the instructions in this topic that apply to your offer type.

Pay as You Go Customers

After you complete the prerequisites in Task 1, follow the instructions in this section. Note that Task 2 doesn't apply to the Pay As You Go offer, and that Pay as You Go can be used to provision Autonomous Database, but not Oracle Exadata Database Service.

Important

As part of the offer purchase, Microsoft creates a managed resource group (MRG) in the Azure East US region to support billing. Ensure that your Azure subscription has no "Deny" policy for creating and deleting a resource group in the East US region. See Create 'OracleSubscription' resource fails with 'deny' Policy Action during offer purchase for information on using time-bound policy exemptions to purchase the Oracle Database@Azure offer.
