Onboarding Fleet Application Management

Start Fleet Application Management by onboarding the service.

The onboarding process lets Fleet Application Management create a few required policies that you need to start using it and its features.
  • Important

    This onboarding task must be performed by a tenancy administrator in your organization.
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management, and then click Fleet Application Management.
    2. On the Fleet Application Management overview page, view the basic information about the service and links to the product documentation.
    3. (Tenancy administrator only) Click Initiate onboarding.
    4. On the Enable Fleet Application Management page, select Allow Fleet Application Management to create the following policies.
    5. To allow Fleet Application Management to attach Tagging information to fleets, under Tagging, select the following options:
      • Allow Fleet Application Management to tag resources with fleet name using "Oracle$FAMS-Tags.FleetName" tag
      • Allow Fleet Application Management to tag resources with cost tracking tag using "Oracle$FAMS-Tags.FAMSManaged" tag
    6. Click Enable.
    All the listed IAM policies are applied to the tenancy for Fleet Application Management to be functional.
    After the tenancy administrator applies all policies for a user, the user can navigate to the Fleet Application Management overview page and create fleets. See Creating a Fleet.
  • Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin onboarding create command and required parameters to onboard Fleet Application Management:

    oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin onboarding create [OPTIONS]
