Adding Anthropic to a Cost Advisor Workspace

Connect Claude Platform, Claude Enterprise, or both to provide usage and cost data to Cost Advisor for AI.

Identify the organizations whose data you want to include. Obtain the following credentials with the specified scopes:

  • Claude Platform: Obtain an Admin API key from an organization administrator. See Usage and Cost API in the Claude documentation.
  • Claude Compliance key: Requires both the read:compliance_user_data and read:compliance_activities scopes. See Set up the Compliance API in the Claude documentation.
  • Claude Cost & Analytics key: Requires the read:analytics scope. See Analytics APIs in the Claude documentation.
Note

Claude Platform Admin API keys and Claude Enterprise Analytics API keys aren't interchangeable. Use the key for the corresponding organization and connection type.

Claude Team plans aren't supported by Cost Advisor for AI.

  1. Open the workspace, select AI providers, and then select Add in the Anthropic row.
  2. In Add Anthropic provider, select the platform connections, enterprise connections, or both that you want to include.
    Add at least one connection for the selected provider.
  3. To include Claude Platform data, under Claude Platform connections, turn on Enable platform connections.

    Enter the Platform ID and the organization's Admin API key in Admin API key.

    Select Add platform to add another platform connection.

  4. To include Claude Enterprise data, under Claude Enterprise connections, turn on Include Claude Enterprise.

    In Organizations, enter the Organization identifier and the organization's Analytics API key in the field labeled Admin API key.

    Select Add organization to add another enterprise connection. Use the Analytics API key for the corresponding organization.

  5. Under Cost Advisor Insights for Anthropic, turn on Enable AI Cost Advisor insights.
    When enabled, Cost Advisor for AI processes prompt content to identify likely intent and suggest models that might cost less.
    Enter the Organization ID and Compliance API key. Use a key with both the read:compliance_user_data and read:compliance_activities scopes. For information about obtaining Compliance API access and creating a key, see Set up the Compliance API in the Claude documentation.
  6. Select Add provider.
    Adding the provider takes about 10 minutes.
Review the provider's state and connection information on the AI providers tab.
To review Cost Advisor data and insights, ensure that the workspace also has a Fusion EPM destination.
