View Trace Data in a Dashboard

You can use Oracle-defined trace query widgets to view data from Trace Explorer in a dashboard.

The following Oracle-defined widgets require a trace query input, based on which trace data is displayed:

  • APM Trace Table: Displays the trace data displayed in the table view (Table icon) in Trace Explorer.
  • APM Geomap: Displays the trace data displayed in the GeoMap view (Geomap icon) in Trace Explorer.
  • APM Service Topology: Displays the trace data displayed in the Topology view (Topology icon) in Trace Explorer.

Here's information on how you can add an Oracle-defined trace query widget to a dashboard and edit the query, if required:

  1. Access Dashboards in Application Performance Monitoring and depending on whether you want to add the Oracle-defined trace query widgets to a new dashboard or a customized Oracle-defined dashboard, perform the steps listed in one of the following sections from the Management Dashboard service documentation:
  2. After you add the Oracle-defined trace query widgets to the dashboard, click Edit widgets in the Widgets tab.

The Edit widgets secondary tab displays the details of the widget you've added, and this includes the required inputs configured when adding the widget and optional inputs, if any. For the Oracle-defined trace query widgets that display trace data, the query input is also listed. The query input is required and added by default, and you can edit the query by clicking the Edit icon (Edit icon) adjacent to it.
