Guest Operating Systems

On Compute Cloud@Customer, you can use choose to create instances from various images. Each image provides a particular instance guest OS. This section lists the types of guest OSs you can use.

Images of Oracle Linux and Oracle Solaris are provided as part of the Compute Cloud@Customer software (platform images), and new image versions are added over time through upgrades.

You can bring your own images (BYOI). Several guest OSs are part of Oracle testing and are known to work in Compute Cloud@Customer instances. The following table provides an overview.
