Fleet Dashboard

The Fleet Dashboard provides you with an overview of the fleets in a selected compartment, including the number of the fleet's Java applications and Java Runtimes.

Prerequisites: You've logged in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console and selected Java Management from the navigation menu. Click Fleets from the navigation list.

The Fleet Dashboard lists the fleets contained in the selected compartment. To change the compartment, click the compartment name in the Applied Filters field and select the new compartment.

In the Search and Filter text field, you can filter the displayed resources by using the drop-down menu. The available options include:

  • Tags: filter the list of fleets according to their tag key-value pairs.
  • State: filter the list of fleets according to their state. Select from one of the following options: Active, Creating, Deleted, Deleting, Failed, or Updating.
  • Advanced features: filter the list of fleets based on advanced features enablement. Select one of the options to filter: Enabled or Disabled.

You also customize the table columns using the Manage columns icon.

For each fleet, the table presents the following information:
  • Name: name of the fleet
  • State: fleet states include:
    • Active: the fleet is ready to be used.
    • Creating: the creation of the fleet has been requested, but the operation has not completed.
    • Deleting: the deletion of the fleet has been requested, but the operation has not completed.
    • Deleted: the fleet has been deleted. (A deleted fleet is kept for 90 days before it is permanently removed.)
    • Failed: an error was encountered during an operation on the fleet. The fleet is in an inconsistent state and can't be used.
    • Needs Attention: the fleet's log and/or bucket configuration isn't configured or accessible by JMS.
    • Updating: an update operation is in progress.
  • Advanced features: indicates whether they are enabled or disabled for the fleet.
  • Managed Instance: number of managed instances contained in the fleet.
  • Java runtimes: number of unique Java runtimes reported by managed instances contained in the fleet.
  • Application: number of unique Java applications reported by managed instances contained in the fleet.
  • Java servers: number of Java servers reported by managed instances contained in the fleet.
  • Data export: indicates whether data export settings are enabled or disabled for the fleet.
  • Created on: time stamp indicating when the fleet was created.

If the logs of a fleet are not configured or not accessible, then there will be an indicator next to the fleet name. The status of the fleet is Failed if the Inventory logs are not accessible. The Operation logs will render the fleet to Needs Attention status. The Log Configuration Details present in the Fleet Properties for that fleet will have more details. If you have one or more such fleets, you can enable logs in a single operation using the Log Configuration wizard that's described in Set Up Using a Wizard.

Each row of the table includes a contextual menu indicated by a horizontal ellipsis (…). From this menu you can:
