Enabling or Disabling Ops Insights

Enable Ops Insights to view comprehensive information about resource utilization and capacity of MySQL HeatWave databases and hosts.

Note

Enabling or disabling Ops Insights for a DB system is not supported by the oci mysql db-system update command.

Use the Console to enable or disable Ops Insights on a DB system.

This task requires the following:

Do the following to enable or disable Ops Insights on a DB system:

On the DB systems list page, select the DB system that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the DB system, see Listing DB Systems - Using the Console.

The details page opens and displays information about the DB system.
Select the Tools tab.
To enable Ops Insights on the DB system if it is currently disabled, do the following:
1. Find the Ops Insights field under Ops Insights, select Enable
2. In the Enable Ops Insights dialog box, select Enable.
  The DB system enters the Updating state and Ops Insights is enabled. Once Ops Insights is enabled, you can analyze the resource utilization of your MySQL HeatWave fleet, and use the information to perform capacity planning.
To disable Ops Insights on the DB system if it is currently enabled, do the following:
1. Find the Ops Insights field under Ops Insights, select Disable
2. In the Disable Ops Insights dialog box, select Disable.
  The DB system enters the Updating state and Ops Insights is disabled.
