AWR Snapshot Collection

Use AWR Snapshot Collection to collect snapshots from eligible databases and analyze recent database performance data in AWR Explorer.

AWR Snapshot Collection supports 19c databases configured for Private Endpoint telemetry, including CDBs. Retention defaults to 30 days; retention for one database can be increased up to 92 days.

For databases previously enabled for Ops Insights, apply the additional monitoring-user grants specified for AWR Snapshot Collection in the monitoring-credential script for your database type.

To enable AWR Snapshot Collection, open Service Configurations, select the required compartment, and enable the setting. The setting applies to eligible databases in that compartment. For information about the default state and scope of this setting, see Customer Controlled Collections.
