Multicloud Databases
Multicloud allows you to harness the strengths of different cloud platforms while mitigating risks. However, monitoring and analyzing databases in a multicloud environment introduces unique challenges, requiring specialized approaches and solutions. You can use Ops Insights features on your Oracle Databases running on the following cloud platforms:
- Oracle Databases running on AWS RDS: You can discover the Oracle Databases on AWS RDS as External Databases and enable Diagnostics & Management. For information, see Set Up OCI Observability and Management for AWS RDS Databases.
- Oracle Database@Azure: You can enable communication between Ops Insights and Oracle Database@Azure using a private endpoint and then enable Diagnostics & Management. For information, see OCI Ops Insights: Enable Ops Insights for Oracle Database@Azure.
Oracle Standard Edition Database Monitoring
Ops Insights allows you to analyze and monitor Oracle Database Standard Edition databases via Management Agent, Enterprise Manager or Private Endpoint. This gives your Standard Edition databases access to Capacity planning, SQL Insights, and SQL Explorer capabilities.
