Configure OAuth Authentication for Workflow Notification Mailer with Google Workspace Gmail

You can now configure an Oracle Workflow notification mailer to use OAuth–based authentication for connections to the Google Workspace Gmail IMAP and SMTP server. When using this type of authentication, the Oracle Workflow notification mailer requests an access token from the Google Authorization Server. The access token is then used to connect to the Google Workspace Gmail server and process the messages. Oracle
Workflow uses the Client Credentials Grant flow with a certificate-based credential.

Steps to enable and configure

To use OAuth-2.0–based authentication for connections to the Google Workspace Gmail IMAP and SMTP server, you must create a project for and configure the Oracle Workflow application in the Google Cloud portal, configure Oracle E-Business Suite for outbound connections over TLS 1.2, and define the OAuth configuration in the notification mailer configuration wizard within Oracle Applications Manager. See My Oracle Support article KA1179, Configuring Oracle Workflow for OAuth 2.0 with Google Workspace Gmail in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.
