Update Master-Controlled Item Attributes Only in Active Child Organizations

Simplify item attribute updates by focusing only on active child organizations. This enhancement allows you to update master-controlled item attributes without the need to validate or maintain data in inactive child organizations, streamlining the process and reducing unnecessary overhead.

Prior to this release, updating master-controlled attributes required validation across all child organizations, including those that were disabled or inactive, forcing organizations to keep attribute data current even in non-operational entities. With this update, validations are now limited to active child organizations, ignoring invalid attributes in disabled ones. The business benefit is a more efficient update process, saving time and reducing the risk of errors by focusing only on relevant organizational units. This addresses a broader need in industries with complex, multi-organizational structures—such as manufacturing or global retail—where maintaining data integrity in active operations is critical while avoiding wasted effort on inactive entities. Use cases include updating item specifications or pricing across operational units during product lifecycle changes.
