Include Amount-Based Purchase Order and Requisition as Commitments for Project

Oracle Project Manufacturing supports the transfer of amount-based purchase orders and the amount-based requisitions to project commitments. Cost commitments generated from amount-based purchase orders or requisitions are transferred to project commitments to avoid over budgeting to projects.

To Transfer Amount Based Purchase Orders

  1. Create Project and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) work orders.
  2. Create an amount-based purchase order with the Line type as Fixed Price Services.
  3. Assign the EAM work order and project at purchase order distributions and save the purchase order.
  4. Run the PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts program for a single project with default parameters.
  5. Validate that the amount-based purchase orders are transferred to Project Commitments.

To Transfer Amount Based Requisitions

  1. Create Project and EAM work orders.
  2. Create an amount-based purchase requisition with the Line type as Fixed Price Services.
  3. Assign the EAM work order and project to the requisition and save your changes.
  4. Run the PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts program for a single project with default parameters.
  5. Validate that the amount-based requisitions are transferred to Project Commitments.

The transfer of amount-based purchase orders and the amount-based requisitions to project commitments, allows you a complete visibility of all commitments associated with a project.
