Defer Electronic Records and Electronic Signatures (ERES) for Quality Collection Plans

You can now defer e-signatures for collection plan creation setup and collection plan setup updates in Oracle Quality.

To defer e-signatures for collection plan creation setup and collection plan setup updates, ensure that the following profile options are set to Yes:

  • EDR: E-records and E-signatures
  • QA: Enable Deferred E-Signature for Plans Setup

When these profile options are set to Yes, the approver is notified to approve the collection plan setup or the collection plan setup updates. As the approver, you can then navigate to the E-Records and E-signatures user interface by clicking the notification link and then take the following e-signature actions to for a collection plan setup creation or update:

  • Defer 
  • Reject
  • Cancel
  • Approve

Steps to enable and configure

Setup the following profiles to defer e-signatures for collection plan creation setup and collection plan setup updates:

Profile Option Name Description
EDR: E-records and E-signatures

This profile option lets you enable the E-records and E-signatures functionality for your entire system. Select from the following values:

  • Yes - to enable e-record and e-signature
  • No -  to not enable e-record and e-signature. This is the default value.

QA: Enable Deferred E-Signature for Plans Setup

This profile option enables deferred e-signatures to notify approvers when you set up or update collection plans. Select from the following values:

  • Yes -  to enable deferred e-signature approvals during collection plan setup creation or collection plan setup update. The approver is notified to approve and finalize the collection plan setup.
  • No -  to not enable deferred e-signature approval notifications during collection plan setup creation or collection plan setup update.
