Manage Tester Skill Validation for Testing
In Oracle Process Manufacturing for Quality Management, you can now record the proficiency of testers in laboratory testing and analysis and ensure accurate and reliable test results. To use this feature, ensure that you set the GMO:Operator Certificate for Process Manufacturing is enable to Yes.
To manage tester skill validation for testing:
- In the HRMS's People window, query for and ensure that the tester is defined as an employee. Select Others to define competencies for the employee.

- In the Competence Profile window, map the required competency to an employee designated as a tester to Quality Results. In this example the tester is set as 3-semi Proficient.

- In MES for Process Manufacturing, navigate to the Operator Certification page and assign the required competency level to the Test Method for the laboratory organization. In this example, the required competency level for the test method is set to 4 - Proficient. Selecting the Override check box enables you to override the certification or competence of a tester.

- In the Item Samples window, create a sample.

- In the Results window, enter results for the sample for the test method for which you have mapped competencies.

- In the Operator Certification window, a message displays informing you that the operator does not have the required competency. As the Override check option was selected during setup, you can use an override login and password to login and enter results.

This functionality is available in Mass Results Entry, MES Workbench for quality results, and in the MES Touchscreen UI.
