Version Lineage

The version lineage feature of Oracle Data Relationship Management captures the source version each time a copy of the version is made. This allows you to trace the history of any version back to its original source and provide interesting ways to analyze changes based on version lineage.

Version lineage is set in Data Relationship Management. To set up lineage for a version, edit the Lineage Version property field to assign the version from which lineage should be built. If you have copied a version, the copied version populates the Lineage Version field. If you delete the lineage version that a version points to, then the version no longer has a lineage version assigned. For more information, see Editing Version Properties.

Setting up version lineage allows Oracle Data Relationship Management Analytics to aggregate changes across lineages and across multiple versions.
